Sky Garden (20 Fenchurch Street) β free, 155m, must book online in advance, currently one of the best free panoramas. Primrose Hill β hilltop park in North London, full central skyline sweep, best at sunset. Parliament Hill (Hampstead Heath) β wide view south over the city. Greenwich Hill β looking west along the Thames to Canary Wharf. Tate Modern 10th Floor β free during opening hours, looks directly at St Paul's across the river. Waterloo Bridge β arguably the most complete mid-river panorama, free to walk across.
Paid Viewpoints
The Shard (London Bridge) β highest, most dramatic, priciest (from ~Β£32). Tower Bridge high-level walkways β glass floor, ~42m, tickets from ~Β£11.40. St Paul's Golden Gallery β 528 steps, extraordinary view, included in cathedral ticket (~Β£23). London Eye capsule β 135m, 30-minute rotation, from ~Β£29.
Timing
Golden hour (just after sunrise) for low-crowd magic. Blue hour (15 min after sunset) for the lit skyline. Midday on summer weekdays for clearest air.

- Golden hour from Waterloo Bridge costs nothing and is consistently beautiful.
